The price of the software nearly equaled the cost of the computer. On first boot this AM, the icons were, gone, but I put them back by unpinning one, which restored all but that icon, and then pinned that icon back. On the next boot, all of the icons were there. I just came across this thread on the Bitdefender Forums, which I visit daily. The OP is correct. The behaviour started when I activated the Bitdefender Ransomware Protection.
